Programs
"From my professional experience as a trainer I value what the coaches at Bridge offer in terms of professionalism, programming, attention to detail, and understanding of client's wants and needs."
Cassandra Ramirez · Bridge Performance member
Weightlifting is our competitive and recreational Olympic weightlifting program — led by USAW-certified coaches who have competed in the sport. This isn't a CrossFit gym that added a snatch to its programming. Weightlifting is built around technical development in the snatch and clean & jerk, with smart progression and a clear pathway for athletes who want to compete.
Astrid Castaneda, Bridge's co-founder, competed as an Olympic weightlifter before opening Bridge. She coaches the program and brings both competitive experience and deep technical knowledge to every session. The result is coaching that's precise, progression-driven, and built around how athletes actually move.
Whether you're new to the lifts or have been training for years and need a real team, Weightlifting has a track for you. Contact us for schedule and rates.
What makes it different
Astrid competed in Olympic weightlifting before co-founding Bridge. She's not teaching from a certification — she's teaching from experience on the platform.
Programming emphasizes movement quality and smart progression. No one adds load before the positions are right — which is why Weightlifting athletes stay healthy.
Weightlifting isn't a hobby class. There's a clear path toward competition for athletes who want it — and a team of people working toward the same goals.

Common questions
Do I need to be a competitive athlete?
No. Weightlifting has both recreational and competitive tracks. If you're new to the lifts and want serious technical coaching, there's a place for you. If you want to compete, there's a pathway for that too.
What if I've never done Olympic lifting?
You're welcome here. Technical development starts from scratch for beginners — we'd rather teach you the right positions from day one than fix ingrained bad habits later. Start with a Movement Assessment.
What does USAW registered club mean?
It means Weightlifting is officially registered with USA Weightlifting — the national governing body for the sport. Club registration means our athletes can compete in sanctioned USAW events and our coaching meets national standards.
Can I join if I'm coming back from an injury?
Yes — and Astrid's background makes Weightlifting unusually well-equipped for this. Tell us your history in your Movement Assessment and we'll build a return-to-training plan that makes sense for where you actually are.
